Last updated: May 2026  ·  TikQuick Extension v1.4.0

TikQuick is free and has no ads. To keep it running and to understand how the tool is used, the extension collects minimal telemetry. This page explains exactly what is collected, why, and how to opt out. We do not sell data. We do not use third-party ad or analytics networks.
01 Who We Are

About TikQuick

TikQuick is an independent project made by mikedev_. We operate tikquick.online and the companion browser extension. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or in any way connected to TikTok, Douyin, or ByteDance Ltd.

This policy applies to data collected through the TikQuick browser extension.

02 What We Collect

Extension Telemetry

The extension sends two types of events to our server. Both can be disabled (see §05 Opt-Out).

HEARTBEAT — sent every 2 minutes while the browser is open:

FieldWhat it is
install_idA random UUID generated once on install. Not linked to your device identity.
versionExtension version number (e.g. 1.2.2).
toggle_activeWhether the upload patcher is on or off (0 or 1).
browser / osBrowser family (Edge, Chrome, Firefox) and OS family (Windows, macOS, Linux). Derived from the user-agent string; the raw UA is not stored.
timezoneYour IANA timezone (e.g. Asia/Dubai), for regional statistics.
languageBrowser or TikTok session language code (e.g. en).
browser_region / server_regionRegion codes read from your TikTok session response (e.g. US, AE).
unique_idYour public TikTok @handle, if available in the session. This is the handle you display publicly on TikTok.

UPLOAD EVENT — sent once each time you submit a video through TikTok Studio with the patcher active:

FieldWhat it is
install_idSame random UUID as above.
captionThe text caption you typed for your upload. See note below.
visibilityPost visibility setting (Public / Friends / Private), as an integer.
post_typePost type integer from the TikTok upload form.
browser / os / region / versionSame as heartbeat fields above.
Note on captions

Caption text is collected to help understand how TikQuick is used and to debug upload issues. Caption data is stored on our private server and is not shared with any third party. If you would prefer we do not collect captions, you can disable telemetry entirely — see §05.

03 Why We Collect It

Purpose of Collection

Telemetry is used exclusively for:

Usage analytics — understanding which browser and OS combinations are most common, which regions use the extension, and whether the upload patcher toggle is being used. This helps us prioritise what to fix and test.

Debugging — when an upload fails, associated metadata helps us reproduce and fix the issue faster.

Active install tracking — knowing roughly how many people are using TikQuick helps justify continued development.

Data is never used for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties.

04 Storage

How Data Is Stored

Telemetry is stored securely on our private server (tikquick.online). No data is forwarded to third-party cloud analytics services (e.g. Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude).

Data is retained indefinitely for historical usage statistics. You may request deletion of records associated with your install_id or TikTok unique_id by contacting us — see §06.

05 Opt-Out

Disabling Telemetry

Telemetry is on by default, but you can disable it at any time. When disabled, no heartbeat or upload events are sent to our server.

How to opt out

Click the TikQuick extension icon in your browser toolbar, then tap the button in the top-right corner of the popup. A small panel will open with a Usage Telemetrics toggle, switch it off. The change takes effect immediately, no restart required.

Policy Updates

If we materially change what data is collected or how it is used, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the extension after such a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
